Yang came to Janelia Farm Research Campus from Neusoft Corporation, the top outsourcing vendors and a leading IT solutions and services provider in China, where he studied and worked as a research assistant of computer science for four years. He investigated medical image processing and analysis sponsored by “Research on Key Technologies of Computer Aided Diagnosis of Lung Cancer”, the National Natural Science Foundation of China. Yang received his Ph.D. from the Northeastern University of China, and also worked as a research associate at Peng Lab in the Howard Hughes Medical Institute. Yang is working on biological image analysis and biological annotation tools development in the Scientific Computing Software Team.
