Bi-Chang Chen
Associate
Bi-Chang received his B.A. and M.S. in Chemistry at 2001 and 2003 from National Taiwan University. After two years of military service in Taiwan, he joined the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry, at the University of Texas at Austin, to pursue his Ph.D. Under the supervision of Dr. Sang-Hyun Lim, Bi-Chang’s research focused on single frequency and multiplex CARS (coherent anti-Stokes Raman scattering) microscopy by a single broadband laser to achieve tissue imaging. At Janelia Farm, Bi-Chang will continue his postdoctoral research focusing on Bessel beam fluorescence microscopy to achieve fast, 3D imaging in live cells with Dr. Eric Betzig.
