As the Senior Director of Administrative Operations and Facilities, Cory C. Schreckengost has leadership and management responsibility for core, non-scientific operating functions, including Human Resources, Communications, Environmental Health and Safety, Facilities Maintenance and Engineering, Laboratory Support Services, Finance, Innovations Management, IT and Campus Life. Cory assumed this executive leadership role in 2017 after five years of serving Janelia as Director of Administrative Operations and Director of Human Resources. He also serves as a member of HHMI’s operations team as the relationship manager between Janelia’s operations and HHMI’s headquarters’ functions.
Cory came to Janelia with more than 15 years of experience in Human Resource Management, most recently working as the Vice President of Human Resources and Quality Systems for REHAU North America, in addition to prior HR leadership roles with The Washington Redskins and Newell Rubbermaid. Cory has a B.S. in Human Resources Management and a Master of Business Administration, both from Florida State University.
