Proofreading Methodology

FlyEM pioneers segmentation-driven proofreading strategies. Starting from an initial image segmentation, proofreaders successively refine it through splitting and merge operations initally through a tool called Raveler and later through NeuTu. To boost proofreading speed, FlyEM introduces novel focused proofreading methodology using biological priors and machine learning to help guide manual efforts.
