Our imaging technologies can support a wide range of light microscopy applications. Most systems offer an array of objectives and can acquire across the visible spectrum. We can image most type of samples: fixed and live samples, cultured cells, tissue slices, whole fly brain, live zebra fish, etc.

Zeiss LSM 880 AiryScan (Inverted Confocal)

Capabilities:

  • Inverted laser scanning confocal, GaAsP detectors, 32-channel spectral imaging
  • Airyscan super-resolution technology:
    • up to 1.7x better resolution (in all three dimensions) than standard scanning confocal microscopes
    • Higher sensitivity: 4-8x higher SNR
    • More gentle excitation (less photobleaching and phototoxicity)
  • Spectral unmixing:
    • Acquire 5-8 dyes in parallel and unmix them post-acquisition
    • Unmix specific dyes fluorescence from tissue autofluorescence
  • Z piezo control for fast stacks acquisitions

Zeiss LSM 710 NLO (Upright Confocal)

Capabilities:

  • Upright confocal and two-photon (Coherent Chameleon Ultra) laser scanning microscope
  • Multi-Alkali PMTs including a 32-channel spectral detector
  • 2 non-descanned Multi-Alkali PMTs + 1 GaAsP available for GFP imaging in scattering samples
  • Long working distance water dipping (NA=1.0) objectives available
  • Spectral unmixing: 
    • Acquire several dyes in parallel and unmix them post-acquisition
    • Unmix specific dyes fluorescence from tissue autofluorescence

    • Efficient on cell cultures, thin tissue sections, transparent low scattering samples
  • Can be used as a conventional widefield microscope

TissueGnostics (Widefield and Confocal Slide Scanner)

Capabilities: 

  • Can be operated as a regular widefield fluorescence microscope or as a spinning disk confocal (~5 µm optical sectioning, up to 50 µm in sample thickness)
  • Can perform brightfield imaging on chromogenic stained samples
  • Up to 200 slides can be loaded
  • For faster acquisitions, only the tissue sections are acquired ("automated" tissue detection)
  • Strataquest analysis software: performs quantitative cytometric analyses across entire slides.

PerkinElmer Pannoramic Scan 250 (Widefield Slide Scanner)

Capabilities: 

  • Operated as a regular widefield fluorescence microscope

  • Can perform brightfield imaging on chromogenic stained samples

  • Up to 250 slides can be loaded

  • Entire slides are stitched as a single united image for viewing

Olympus MVX10 (Macro Zoom)

Capabilities: 

  • Macroscopes with high (0.5 NA) and low magnification objectives and up to 50x zoom range

  • Equipped with a color camera.
