Biography
Shravan Tata Ramalingasetty received his Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Mechatronics from Manipal Institute of Technology, Manipal, in 2013. His undergraduate thesis, "Human Motion Analysis using Inertial Sensors," was completed in collaboration with the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore, where he subsequently joined the Computational Intelligence Laboratory (CIntL) as a Research Assistant, working on topics in human biomechanics.
He went on to earn his Master of Science (M.Sc.) in BioRobotics from Delft University of Technology in 2016, with a thesis titled "Cerebellum-Inspired Computational Models for Robot Control." That same year, he joined the BioRob laboratory to pursue a PhD funded by the Human Brain Project (HBP), investigating the underlying mechanisms of locomotion in animals and humans.
From 2022 to 2026, he worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Danner Lab, Drexel University, USA, where he developed experimentally driven neuromechanical simulations and studied the interplay between sensory feedback and central spinal networks during quadrupedal locomotion.
