Neuropixels: Fully Integrated Silicon Probes for High-Density Recording of Neural Activity |
HHMI Janelia, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Gatsby Foundation and the Wellcome Trust have combined to engineer and produce a new generation of electrophysiology probes optimized for rodents. These devices and their performance will be described in detail along with the recording system and public domain software to use them. The path to commercial availability, expected in mid-2018 is also included. |

Opportunities at Janelia
If you’re a junior scientist ready to launch an independent research program, whether you’re a post-doctoral fellow or a finishing graduate student, consider the opportunities at Janelia.
Janelia conferences are intentionally small, highly specialized, and primarily focused in the areas of neurobiology and bioimaging. We are currently accepting applications for spring 2018 conferences.
Janelia's Visiting Scientist Program brings together scientists to solve interdisciplinary problems – often making use of new and innovative technologies developed at Janelia. We accept applications on a continuous basis.
This program allows a small number of enthusiastic students to join an intense and exciting research environment. We are currently accepting applications for Summer 2018.
