Junior Scientist Workshop on Mechanistic Cognitive Neuroscience

We encourage applications from junior scientists pursuing research aimed at understanding how cognitive processes and behavior are implemented at the level of circuits, cells, and molecules. This meeting is open to a broad array of ideas and approaches in a variety of animal models. We will also consider theorists with a strong interest in linking their ideas to experimental data.

Junior Scientist Workshop on Theoretical Neuroscience

Attendees will give 20-minute research talks on their work, as well as in-depth 45-minute tutorials on theoretical techniques relevant to their research. Tutorials will be presented white board style to encourage uninhibited and detailed technical discussion, a deeper understanding of the diverse techniques used in modern theoretical neuroscience, and hopefully a stronger sense of community. We see this as a unique learning opportunity for everyone involved and intend for it to be an enjoyable experience.

Junior Scientist Workshop on Theoretical Biophysics

Attendees will have the opportunity to present as well as learn from one another. They will give 20-minute talks on their own research questions, as well as in-depth 45-minute whiteboard tutorials on techniques central to their research. To promote spontaneous interactions and community discussions, tutorials will be chalk talk style.
